It’s release day! Had the absolute honour of voicing Count Louis Guiabern in the newest JRPG from @atlus_west - Metaphor:ReFantazio! It’s packed with action, intrigue, twists and turns, a killer OST, amazing animation, some of the coolest anime cutscenes, and of course…my dulcet tones šŸ˜Ž It’s been an amazing journey working on this game and I can’t quite believe I’m voicing a character like Louis! What a dream! Thanks to the amazing folk at @atlus_west and @pitstopproductions for having me, for the fantastic voice direction from @joshweeden_ and @soundswilde and thanks to my wonderful agent @wearemonstervoice 🄰 #metaphor #metaphorrefantazio #louis #videogames #anime #voice #actor #gaming

We planted a tree today in the newly founded Lower Chew Forest, in memory of our lovely Penelope. Thank you @avonneedstrees for finding such a beautiful place to memorialise our little girl. We can’t wait to watch Penny’s oak grow with the rest of the forest, and to experience nature here with her feeling close. Lower Chew Forest is a pretty amazing site and the team here is doing incredible work to preserve and restore nature across the South West. It feels very special to be a tiny part of the making of this beautiful place šŸŒ±šŸŒšŸŒ³ā¤ļø If you’d like to support the work that @avonneedstrees is doing, head over to their page and website. They’re always looking for folk to sponsor and to plant trees x #inmemory #LowerChewForest #treeplanting #rewilding

It’s been just over a year since we said goodbye to our lovely Penny Pops. I can’t quite believe it’s been so long. 2025 was a strange year for me. Lots of trying to keep going, whilst also wanting to hide away forever. I never knew I could miss someone as much as I miss Pen. I never knew missing someone could be accompanied by so much pain either. Sometimes I look at who I was before she arrived, and I can’t understand how I existed without knowing her. But now that she’s gone, I have come to realise, in a magical sort of way, that she’s always been there somehow. I think just believing that makes things a bit easier when it gets tough. Last year I started giving blood, and this week, for my first donation of the year, I found out that my blood is a NeoR1R1 type, which means it will be going almost exclusively to sick and premature babies. It’s pretty wonderful to know that my blood will be going out to help children just like our lovely Penny. And without her, I probably wouldn’t have had the confidence to make those donations. The squeams are real bad! In 2025 I had the opportunity to work on some wonderful projects, had some lovely catch-ups with fellow Euchronians, I climbed a few mountains whilst raising money for charity, I worked at my hometown theatre to perform in their Christmas show, and we found out that Penny will be getting twin sisters in the spring. All in all, a pretty full and topsy turvy year. 2026 is already looking quite different, and I just wish so deeply that we were able to share it with Penny. Thanks to everyone for all of the support and love over the past 16 months ā¤ļøā¤ļø Xx

Thanks so much to everyone for donating towards our Grand Appeal fundraiser last weekend. Climbing the Three Peaks was a pretty amazing experience - the knees are mostly recovered now! šŸ„¾ā›°ļø We met so many wonderful and inspiring people, all raising money for various children’s charities across the UK, all with their own stories and reasons for doing the challenge. Between the four of us @trudyward_ @iaintweedale @andytweedale , we raised Ā£7,366, and together with the wider team we managed to raise a whopping Ā£19,244 for @thegrandappeal Quite amazing, really! The Grand Appeal supported us so much when we were in the hospital with Penny, and it feels good to know that the money we raised will go towards helping families who might be facing something similar. Big thanks to @global_adventure_challenges for their fab guides and for keeping us on time šŸ˜… - such an amazing couple of days. I hope that Penny would have been proud of what we achieved. She was with us the whole way ā¤ļø xxx

A little late to the party on this, but I’ve had such a fun time being part of two wonderful podcast dramas by #BeyondTheDarkProductions this year: #TheStrata and #TheRoadofShadows One: a sci-fi set many years in the future. The other: a mysterious psychological horror set in 1980s rural America. And such a delight to be working alongside some lovely, familiar VO faces in both 🄰 Listen wherever you get your #podcasts!

Third time giving blood this year - and probably the first time it’s not been scary! I am sooo (x100) squeamish, but I figured if our lovely Penny was ok with tubes and pokey things, then I can be too. If you can, give blood! It’s incredible getting the text telling you where your donation has gone - knowing that you might have helped save a life is pretty amazing ā¤ļø x #donateblood

This August I’ll be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon) in memory of our beautiful daughter, Penelope, who passed away in December last year. I’m doing it from the 21st-23rd August - Pen would have been 1 on the 24th. I’ll be raising money for @thegrandappeal who are an amazing charity in Bristol who helped us feel like a family in what was an immensely difficult time. You can donate here (link in bio): /page/joe-tweedale-1?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL These past few months since Penny died have been strange, but more and more, I’ve wanted to try and give back to the people and organisations who helped us most and who continue to help families going through similar situations. The Grand Appeal do amazing work for The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and our time there would have been very different if their support didn’t exist. So I thought crunching my knees on a massive hike sounds exactly like what I wanted to do to show my support and raise money for their wonderful charity! Any hiking advice would be very welcome! I’m doing the hike with @trudyward_ @iaintweedale & Andy Tweedale I better get some sensible shoes šŸ˜… Thank you! ā¤ļø X

This week, we said goodbye to our beautiful little girl, Penelope. She was born on the 24th August 2024 and passed away on the 27th December, after a wonderful Christmas with us. She had a rare congenital heart condition called TGA. It’s hard to know how life moves on, but I know it will, eventually. She was the strongest little girl I’ve known, and I am so proud of her for fighting as hard as she did to heal and come home with us. She has been gone for only three weeks, but it feels like a lifetime of missing her. Throughout our time in hospital, I was always in awe of her strength and of the joy she took in life. I adored the small things that made her her - her sassiness, her suspicious side-eye, her tiny voice, her love of touch and music, her wiggles and jiggles, and her wonderfully tuneful farts. I will forever be inspired and changed by her. I’m so proud that she was the person to have made me a Dad - I’m grateful for her every day. Penny had the biggest and best extended family any little girl could have asked for. She had cousins, big sisters, big brothers, uncles, aunties, and grandparents. Every single person she met shaped her in beautiful ways, and we are so thankful for all of the wonderful NHS staff who looked after her and fought to save her at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. It’s an incredible place with incredible nurses, doctors, surgeons, and therapists. We miss Penny. It feels to us like the puzzle piece we had finally found has become lost again. But in our searching this time around, we know what the missing piece looks like, and we know there won’t be another quite like it. We know the pain of losing Pen will lessen in time, but we hope that the memory of her never fades. xx *If you can, please donate to The Grand Appeal, Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity. They are a wonderful charity that helps families like ours and funds research into new treatments and medicines for sick children. .uk
