A Triola liveset classic that has never been released before, re-recorded with the incredible classical guitarist and singer @irenekalisvaartmusic and remixed by The Modernist. This multiple personality performance is now available for the first time alongside many dear friends on Total 25!
Am 23. Mai 2025 erscheint Kompakt 500 – eine im schnelllebigen Musikgeschäft selten erreichte Katalognummer, die mit einer großen Jubiläumsbox gefeiert wird. Aus tausenden Tracks der letzten 33 1/3 Jahre haben wir 50 Perlen ausgewählt und auf 5 knallbunte Vinyls gepresst. Neben vielen Kompakt-Evergreens finden sich auch echte Raritäten des frühen “Kompakt Sound of Cologne”. Die Box enthält außerdem eine besondere Bonus Picture Disc und ein 144-seitiges Buch, das mit Texten und Bildern die Kompakt-Geschichte von 1993 bis heute erzählt. Neben den musikalischen und grafischen Errungenschaften werden auch die multidisziplinären Verbindungen zur bildenden Kunst beleuchtet. Parallel zum Release eröffnet am 23. Mai die große KOMPAKT 500 Kunstausstellung im ehrwürdigen Kölnischen Kunstverein. Der gesamte visuelle Kosmos von Kompakt wird hier unter Beteiligung vieler namhafter Künstler*innen in nie gesehener Form auf drei Etagen gezeigt. Natürlich darf bei der Vernissage auch gefeiert werden – mit DJ Sets und Liveshows der Kompakt Allstars.
On May 23, 2025, Kompakt 500 will be released – a catalog number rarely achieved in the fast-paced music business, duly celebrated with a large anniversary box set. From thousands of tracks spanning 33 1/3 years, we selected 50 gems and pressed them on five brightly colored vinyls. Alongside Kompakt classics, you’ll also find rarities from the early “Kompakt Sound of Cologne.” The box includes a special bonus picture disc and a 144-page book telling Kompakt’s story from 1993 to today with detailed text and images. In addition to Kompakt’s musical and graphic achievements, its multidisciplinary connections to the visual arts are highlighted. Coinciding with the release, the KOMPAKT 500 art exhibition opens at the venerable Kölnischer Kunstverein. Kompakt’s visual cosmos will be presented across three floors with contributions from renowned artists. Of course, you can also dance and celebrate at the vernissage with DJ sets and live shows by the Kompakt Allstars.
