Following the second release in March ’26, this approach will be explored live for the first time - a deep meditation and investigation in the form of a continuous loop.
LISTEN TO is an intimate ambient listening session in our open, minimal PURE SPACE, designed to cultivate presence and attention.
A permanently installed Void sound system fills the room, making every detail of sound tangible.
The evening begins with a cacao ceremony using cacao from @cosmika.seed - a moment to awaken the senses and gently open perception before the session.
From this edition on, we’re offering a limited number of community tickets only via our website for a reduced price.

FEATURE // We sat down with Max Hytrek — the Cologne-based producer behind Soundtrek and one of the most exciting emerging voices in the city’s electronic music scene — for an in-depth conversation about loops, legacy and the enduring power of the Cologne sound.
Working daily at Kompakt, releasing music on his vinyl-only Soundtrek imprint and collaborating with Wolfgang Voigt as part of Pop Vampires Cologne, Hytrek is as embedded in the tradition as it gets.

DJ mixes that start emotional, in a warm and tender way have a certain tradition in KOMPAKT’s long history. Michael Mayer’s first mix CD, ‘Kompakt Köln präsentiert Michael Mayer’ from 1998, begins with the quiet, shyly minimalist ‘Dilldop’ by Kandis, whilst his first ‘Immer’ (2002) mix opens with a Farben remix of ‘Tomorrow Goodbye’ (aka Ekkehard Ehlers) that sways gently in the wind. Tobias Thomas took things a step further in 2003 on “Für Dich”. On what is still regarded today as the genre-defining first KOMPAKT mix CD, he prefaced the whole piece with a spoken prologue. On “Smallville” (2003), he then made his audience wait almost 13 minutes before the first proper bass drum kick-in.
‘The DJ decides when to start,’ as the wise DJ Koze always said. His 2004 KOMPAKT mix CD “All People Is My Friends”, featuring music by Wechsel Garland, Langley Schools Music Project and (of course) Jan Jelinek, unfolded like a soundtrack, gently guiding us into the depths and darkness of the story being told.
Taking on the warm-up set at the club was, for these DJs in their early days, always both an honour and a responsibility. The warm-up, as the name suggests, served to slowly and steadily raise the temperature without overheating. Calm, contemplative sets at the start of a night were regarded as an art form, delaying the first beat or bass drum for as long as possible was seen as a virtue. Those who arrived too early were punished by life itself.
Max Hytrek, aka oskø, is deeply rooted in this tradition and thus stands on the shoulders of giants. For several years now, Max has also stood behind the counter at the KOMPAKT record shop – a space steeped in musical history – with the many precious and well-preserved treasures of the past constantly before his eyes and in his ears.

Das Label Erdgeschoss feiert an der Theke des Lebens die Freiheit von Sound and Vision wie Fussball - nur mit Bassdrum statt Ball. Und mit Bier. Denn auch bei der Schallplatte muss das Runde ins Eckige.
Den Anfang machen Pop Vampires Cologne, deren surrealistisches Debüt-Meisterstück Karianne bereits im letzten Jahr auf der Total 25 erschienen ist. Bei PVC ist der Name Programm. Wie Vampire sampeln sich oskø und Wassermann einmal mehr durch den Pop-Supermarkt der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten. Quasi über Nacht klonen sie in ihrer illegalen, digitalen Garage hybride Sound-Gebilde, getränkt mit Fremd- und Eigenblutdoping. Verbotene Früchte schmecken bekanntlich am besten. Bewusst, explizit und provokant arbeiten sich PVC am für sie unverzichtbaren Stilmittel des Sampling als universelle Zitat- und Pop-Vernetzungsmaschine ab. Ebenso wagemutig wie respektvoll respektlos, halten sie den neuen, alles entzaubernden K.I. Suchmaschinen im Netz die Freiheit der Kunst entgegen. Der Rest ist Surrealismus. So wie das dazugehörige Video kein Video im herkömmlichen Sinne ist, sondern eine Art Making Off mit Sabine als Frontdarstellerin. Und die digitalen Versionen einiger Stücke sich leicht von den Vinyl Versionen unterscheiden. Denn: Erlaubt ist, was gefällt…
