The final round of the British Women’s Team Cup was the Maria Thompson Memorial Road Race, hosted by Kingston Wheelers.
It took place at Handcross in Sussex, a tough circuit with attritional climbs to split up the bunch. A break of two riders stayed away with Mari Porton (Alba Development Road Team) taking the win ahead of Hope Inglis (Brother UK – On Form). The result ensured Brother UK - On Form won the Team Cup, with FTP Fulfil The Potential racing and London Academy taking second and third spots in the series.
Big thanks to everyone involved; British Cycling comms Derek Middlehurst and Paul Tunnel, the NEG riders, the KWCC organisers Andrew Davis and Phil Feather, and numerous volunteers from the club. And of course a special thanks to Lisa West, Jen Lemen, Viv Tomlin and Alice Lethbridge from the British Women’s Team Cup who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support women’s grassroots racing.
Bring on 2026!

Trails’n’Ales Vol.2 Rumble in the Cronx on Saturday was a certified banger! ⚡️
75 riders set off from @alpkit Kingston following the Wandle to Croydon before hitting the North Downs and back via some of Surrey’s greatest hits.
We finished with an afterparty at @theparkbrewery taproom with @thedoughshack providing pizza and an iconic stage of the giro (congrats @simonyatess ).
Big thanks to everyone who signed up and helped us raise a total £2.6K for @fullcyclebikeproject and @airambulancekss 💙
Props to @joeferrari1 and @bertstown for being here, there and everywhere to capture this video from the day.
See you next year ✌️
