This year, I am leading expeditions from Svalbard to Greenland into the world’s largest National Park with @h0rdur , a very special Greenland SOLAR ECLIPSE Expedition and more Greenland trips over between August and September. All of this on the largest wooden tall ship in Europe still sailing, and you can join me!

Are you ready for Greenland in 2026?
I’m 37 today 🎂 Best year ever? Quite possibly. Recently, I completed the 2025 sailing season with The Great Expedition Company. 7 expeditions taking us sailing from Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. 70 amazing people and an infinite number of new memories. Here is a (small) collection of moments from this most epic of seasons. Plotting course with the captain, pulling ropes, dancing, reciting poetry, hugs all around, epic fits in bright colours, stunning vistas, extended relaxation sessions in the expedition chair and tearing into the 40kg parmesan cheese 🧀🍷
We truly have seen and done incredible things: Majestic wildlife, towering icebergs and the great northern latitudes all set within the context of a truly great expedition sailing vessel: S/V Linden.
To everyone that trusted me to take them to Arctic, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You know who you are, and I will cherish our time together forever.

My People: 2017-2024. My people mean the ABSOLUTE WORLD to me. My truest passion (can’t believe I found it!) is assembling amazing groups of humans in some far flung, immensely remote corner of the world, and then proceeding to have the time of our lives.
Can you tell we are living our best lives? The key achievement, always, is remembering what’s like to feel like a child: sheer unbridled amazement, wonder and giddy with laughter like nobody’s looking or cares.

Eyes in the Snow 👀❄️
As a late winter snow falls in Iceland whilst I sail in Norway where it is considerably warmer, I think of all the wonderful creatures that are perfectly happy living in the snow as their home.

Svalbard 2025 2/7: There are places that don’t feel like they belong to this world. Svalbard is one of them. It didn’t feel real out there.
12 days, 12 strangers, 1 tall ship and generous amounts of Arctic pixie dust and my oh my oh my, how we lived and laughed and breathed our best lives!
Here, we have a selection of shots for my 2nd Svalbard expedition last year, with a special nod going to the “Swiss Contingent” which sounds exactly like the title of a Wes Anderson film. Oh, how we lived and laughed!
Epic nature moments around every corner, like the ice waterfall! 🤯❄️ Light that never quite leaves. Landscapes that make you feel small in the best possible way. Every day, there is something to inspire wonder.

This one’s for the vibes. Expedition 1/7. 13 strangers, 12 days, one sailing ship — and somewhere between the first drink and the last sunset, we stopped being strangers. The Arctic has the power to change you. And I like to think that that is what I do best: show people the best of the Arctic. ⚓️🐻❄️
There was a plan, but the reality is always different. We go where the wind takes us.
No rush.
No signal.
Total disconnection, at least for a time.
Just days that blurred into each other and “nights” that went on forever. Thank goodness for blackout cabins.
Somewhere between the music, the salt air, and the quiet moments in between, everything else faded out.
And for a little while, this was all that mattered.
And for that, I will be forever grateful

Expedition 1/7. A Series. Svalbard. A collection of moments of landscape and wildlife on my 12 day circumnavigation of Svalbard, the first expedition of our season last year.
