At our Codford trial site, we’re testing relay cropping by using a drone from The Really Big Drone Company to oversow linseed into a standing winter barley crop
The plan:
➡️ Harvest the barley early and high
➡️ Let the linseed continue growing
➡️ Return later in the season to harvest the second crop
Will the UK season be long enough to make it work? 🤔

Started on our last hedge today which will finish off our 7.5 kilometres of hedge planting. The first ones we planted are growing nicely and we are already lining up the next ones!
Hedge laying.
Over 2km of hedges laid in the last 2 years using 3 different styles. The results are showing already with vigorous growth from the hedges laid last year. This practice will revive and restore our hedges to boost their biodiversity output and make them great places for wildlife to thrive.
