A physical production space inhabited by an artist(s), as well as both a mental construct and an emotional hideout. A store space for upcoming ideas, works in progression, and of course works from yesterday/years. A space where artists play out the day-to-day realities and/or fantasies of being an artist. As someone who has always been more of an observer (and an outsider), I never quite imagined I’d find myself on the other side of the booth. It still feels a little surreal… Most of my works began as something personal, laughing at my own silly stories and everyday experiences. So the support I received over the past few days truly caught me off guard, in the best way. From friends, students, colleagues, and both new and familiar faces who stopped by, thank you for the conversations, your curiosity, and for spending a moment with my work. One thing I noticed and loved is that little moment at checkout when we both pause…. Our brains go into synchronized buffering as we mentally double-check the math 😄 Hurray for technology! and thank you for your patience~ 🤐 Big shoutout to the KLIF @klillustrationfair team for the opportunity, and to Mossery @mosserymy for featuring my illustrations. I feel both humbled and in awe. Also, a big thank you to Nad (@nad_nut ) for teman-ing me tend my booth on the last day! 🥺 And to my family, who remain at the root of everything I create, thank you for being the constant source behind it all ❤️ I didn’t manage to visit every booth over the three days, but I’m carrying the warmth with me 🥹 For now, I’ll be taking a long slumber to rest and recharge… until then! #klif2026

What does frog and duck have in common? they both squeak! 🐸🦆 The idea behind the print is just me being heavily inspired by the malay idiom “Katak di bawah Tepurung.” Don’t be the frog in the well they say…..but sometimes we just accept the pitfall and try to stay afloat anyway. I am also reminded of the time I collected a bucket full of frogs (toads, to be exact) and what if the wells are the buckets? Fortunately for the Toads, I got caught and released them back into the field. I get to witness watching all the frogs scattered and return back to the garden.🥹 More catalog listing will be dropping on monday! This risoprint will be available during the KLIF 2026 event.
