Today marks a year since I finished my PhD film Stardust & Camp. It's been doing the festival route and managed to get a few laurels, which is exciting.

A surprise came in the mail today. I'm so proud that stardust is resonating with people, and I'm honoured that YAFF was kind enough to include my film as part of their amazing line up. Thank you @youngaustralianfilmfestival for the award, and the cool insta-camera, it looks very fun!
this tri for one of the courses I teach, I wanted to get students used to different character rigs, so I tasked them each week to find a biped rig and do a few key poses for a simple animation based on a prompt I give them, this way we can experience a lot of different rigs in a short amount of time. Here are my teachers examples- the prompts are Sneeze, Flirt, Sleep, Door.
Created by Benjamin Franklin, the phenomenon of ⚡️ELECTRICITY⚡️ is formed deep within the earth’s core by creatures armed with balloons and blankets.
We use it everyday, from the humble light bulb to the mighty computer. With all it provides it is time to give ELECTRICITY the recognition it deserves.

my submission for the loopdeloop"supermarket" theme. It's been over 7 years since I last submitted to loopdeloop so it felt good to get back into it. As always, ran out of time but it was a good way to test a few technical things out!

@birdwithsocks suggested doing a quick warm up model to get us both used to the modelling tools in Maya again, and so we decided to give each other a pokemon to model. She gave me Porygon!
This little guy took just under 1.5 hours. It was nice to do something with such a quick deadline. Plus, I realized I never did look at Porygon's design closer before at all!

Waiting For a Date
This year's teachers example for the 1119GFS pantomime assessment, da big one. I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of time to work on this, so I tried to keep the animation itself really simple, to see how minimal I could go while still giving a [hopefully] engaging performance. Wish I had time to render it like I usually do, but nah shitty playblast it is because that's all I got time for.

Here is the teachers example I did for my 1119GFS assess02 this year. I enjoy doing these quick animation tests each year, it really lets me brush up on my animating skills and gives me a short break from the larger projects I'm working on. Using my own rig this year, which is pretty exciting!
