Sid from @capturedbysid_photography had the pleasure of capturing Nicole and Zeqry’s wedding that was planned by @asianatelier_weddings …… ‘Held at The Agam, a charming venue in Kuala Lumpur inspired by grand colonial architecture featuring a stunning glasshouse, the celebration beautifully intertwined Chinese and Malay traditions, truly reflecting the cultural richness of Malaysia. From the heartfelt Chinese tea ceremony to the sacred Malay Nikah to an elegant Western reception, each part adorned with its own unique attire and décor, every moment showcased a deep respect for each other’s heritage. It was a day rich with meaning, honouring family, culture and the union of two worlds.
For me as a photographer, documenting this wedding carried an even deeper significance. As a French wedding photographer married to a Malaysian, I saw pieces of my own journey mirrored in Nicole and Zeqry’s celebration. The harmony between their traditions reminded me of the beauty and joy of blending cultures, the learning, the connection and the shared creation of something uniquely theirs.
Through my lens, I witnessed not just a wedding, but a powerful expression of unity. The warmth of both families, the effortless merging of customs, and the love that filled The Agam reaffirmed why I am passionate about my craft. Nicole and Zeqry’s celebration was a timeless reminder that love has the extraordinary ability to bridge cultures and bring people together’.
