what started through jewelry, turned into one of the most meaningful friendships of my life. she’s not only my favorite jeweler, but one of my closest friends. the kind of person who feels more like a big sister than anything else and the soon-to-be God Mother to my son. i’m convinced if you combined our brains together, it would create the perfect person.
we’ve been through many milestones together. the highs, the lows, the wins, the stressful moments, weddings, births, and all of the ebb & flows of adulthood. through all of it, we’ve been each other’s constant. she is loyal, honest, deeply caring, and absolutely will call you on your BS when needed. there are very few opinions in this world i genuinely care about, but hers will always be one of them. even when i don’t want to hear it.
our friendship is built on creativity, trust, honesty, shared ambition, endless calls, approving each other’s shopping carts, and laughing until we can’t breathe. this actually happened once during a marketing meeting and we both had to hide because we physically could not stop laughing.
life gives you a lot of passing people, but every once in a while, you find someone who just gets you. that’s Faris for me.

Sako (Owner/Operator of Ayako & Family) and I had been quietly cheering each other on from afar for years, just two small business owners connected via insta. When we finally met IRL, it wasn’t planned, but it felt inevitable.
Within minutes, we found ourselves sharing matcha and, unexpectedly, tears, speaking about our immigrant mothers and the invisible threads of sacrifice, resilience, and love that shaped us. We talked about what it means to carry our ancestors forward, and the weight and beauty of building something with integrity.
There was an instant recognition, like we had always known each other. Two Scorpios, rooted in heritage, guided by a deep belief in doing things the right way, even when it’s not the easy way.
Collaborating with Sako feels deeply personal, something felt. I’m so honored to create alongside my dear friend, and I hope you can taste the love and intention we poured into this drink 💘
