Artmix, a multi-art and film project for young people at Dunoon Burgh Hall, funded by the National Lottery’s Young Start Fund and BFI/ Screen Argyll.

Our Animated Argyll adventure began in Oban, and what a start! @jimparkyn Alasdair Satchel and Jack Lockhart, worked with incredible students from local schools they got hands-on making plasticine characters, watched the iconic Curse of the Wererabbit, and discovered what a career in animation could look like — and let’s just say the feedback spoke for itself! We also hosted a community cinema meet up and a CPD session for teachers. A huge thanks to @therockfieldcentre for hosting us. Next stop: Mull! Can’t wait to meet more brilliant young creatives in Craignure and @antobarandmulltheatre Thanks to support from @screenscots and @filmhubscotland

Jim is a Scotland based artist with over 25 years in the animation industry, Jim has been involved in many best loved animations for Aardman Animations, the BBC and many other clients.
As a sculptor, model maker and character designer Jim is the helping hand behind many classic characters including Wallace and Gromit, Shaun The Sheep, Creature Comforts and animated feature films and commercials.
Jim will running workshops and joining in on a talk at OH!CON this year!
