2025 recap part 2 - I set a New Year’s resolution this year to learn some tricks and progress further on the bike. Not the average life goal for a dude in his 40’s, but hey, I live for this shit. It’s like learning how to skate when I was 13 all over again. Stoked to learn some tricks this year and ride some lines and drops I never thought I would be capable of making it down alive. Moral of the story, set goals. It works. See you soon 2026, aka the year of the backflip!
Well there goes that. On the way out to Reno today the van broke down. Verdict = Seized engine. Basically the worst case scenario for the owner of one of these things. I’ve put a lot of time and money into the van and don’t wanna give up on it, but a remanufactured engine installed will run $17k. I figured I would put this out there and see if anyone has experience with replacing sprinter van engines and if there is a way to get this done for a more realistic price. Holler at me!
*I got the van towed so don’t need help figuring that out, but thanks if you were about to reach out to offer help.
Following @radvanbikes down the notorious steeps of SoCal. No stoppin’, no lookin’, just go’n. 🙈 Second day on this bike and I am in love. Confidence levels at peak.⚡️@intensecycles crushed it on this one. 🔜
