Since I’ve started my journey as a photographer, I’ve lived so many different lives. Been a part of countless communities. Lost and (heavy on the) gained friends and clients who have ultimately contributed to the woman I am today.
From working a 9-5, to photographing/videoing almost every type of event I can think of, to the incredible concepts I’ve been honoured with the task to lead or assist, the experience under my belt has been weighing on me and it’s got me thinking.
What kind of photographer am I? And the answer is, and always has been, I do it all. As I grew into the demands of the need for content, I also fell in love with the art of videography.
I started this journey from passion. Passionate about helping others. Passionate about using my skills and talent to help others visualise their vision in reality. Passionate about freezing fleeting moments that can quickly turn into distant memories. I built my business based on my love for creating, so I can’t conform to just one niche or one style because that would just be limiting myself of what I’m capable of achieving and learning.
My work isn’t a ‘one size fits all’. It’s a ‘let’s talk about what your needs are’ type of work. Am I for everybody? No, and I’m okay with that, because not everybody is for me. I’m not the type of photographer/videographer than just turns up to shoot. I’m a pre-planner. I’m a ‘allow me to introduce myself to you’ first kind of girl. I’m a ‘show me your mood board’ type of photographer. I’m not just here for the £££, but investing in £££ for your projects is what allows me and the team to create not just a work of art, but a memorable experience.
I am also a creative that loves collaboration over competition and with that, I owe a huge thank you to @naomivds , @will_ainsworth and @mrtmorgan , @devantayj for the opportunities and emotional support that is needed to survive this industry and to every photographer and videographer who I’ve become friends with or I’ve exchanged with who doesn’t gatekeep because again, COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION!

Throwback to when I did some BTS on this gorgeous shoot with this incredible bunch. Leaning into more shadowing opportunities have really helped with learning more about studio set ups and the science behind the magic. It's a different ball game compared to the world of events and it can be so humbling 🙇🏻♀️
