📣New Program Launching: Teen Mindset Matters! Is your Jewish teen facing new challenges and transitions? Teen Mindset Matters helps rising 7th-9th graders build confidence and strengthen coping and executive functioning skills as they navigate key transitions and stressors.
While students meet, parents are invited to participate in a Mindful Parenting & Self-Compassion group to slow down, reconnect, and learn how to nurture compassion at home. Parents and students leave feeling more grounded, capable, and prepared to handle what comes next.

“Driving for On The Go is the perfect volunteering opportunity for me. I can schedule a ride whenever I am available; sometimes that is over lunch, sometimes before or after work or on the weekend. I meet lots of interesting people this way, like today’s rider, Mr. Vargas, whom I’m teaching Dutch “on the go”! Next time I’m going to ask him to teach me some Spanish.”

This Saturday, you can take part in Stamp Out Hunger, the nation’s largest one-day food drive, and help ensure local individuals, families, and older adults have access to nutritious food and caring support. Simply leave a bag or box of non-perishable food by your mailbox before mail delivery on Saturday, May 9, and your letter carrier will do the rest.
We’re grateful that the JFS Hand Up Food Pantry and Lieber’s Corner Market at JFS are local beneficiaries of the Taft Post Office food drive in Clairemont Mesa.

Teen Advisors serve as vital support to app users who want to talk to someone their own age who understands what they are going through.
This unique service and learning opportunity teaches teens how to support their peers, boost their own wellbeing, and gain experience for jobs, college, and life ahead. Teen Advisors complete their volunteer experience remotely, allowing them the flexibility to make a difference volunteering while still managing their other commitments.
