Our current project - On The Volcano As Kyiv is drawn into its fourth year of war and Western attention fades, three young men search for ways to give space to their grief, their fear, and their creativity. In the underground raving scene, they find a place to breathe and release. Three young men — Vova (23), Vlad (23), and Andriy (25) — move between expectations of masculinity and their need for self-expression. In the lead-up to the next Resonance rave, their paths intersect. On the Volcano explores how the rave scene functions for them as a site of release and community: a way of coping with an uncertain future, in which fighting at the front, fleeing, or perhaps even peace are all possible outcomes. We are proud to share that this series will premiere Monday 23 march 2026 at the @moviesthatmatterfestival and will air this week, starting Wednesday, March 25, at 20:30 on KRO-NCRV on NPO 2. It will also be fully available for streaming on NPO Start. The series takes the chaos at Kabul airport in 2021 as its starting point, reconstructing the evacuation through personal stories of Afghans, military personnel, policymakers, and others involved. A powerful chapter that is far from closed — told through a combination of documentary and fiction. Jet van Schie and team So-We were commissioned to produce the fiction and reconstruction scenes for KRO-NCRV. This event has had a profound impact on many Dutch and Afghan people. It is therefore essential that we continue to learn from the mistakes that were made and reflect on the political decisions taken at the time. Crip Time is a short hybrid documentary about young people with PAIS (Post-Acute Infection Syndrome) who have been largely bedridden for years. Having crossed from the “normal” world into the realm of chronic illness, they now live in crip time. From their bedrooms, they reflect on altered experiences of hope, time, creativity, and desire. Their conditions vary—some can still go outside, others can no longer speak. But what does it mean to be human in a system that reduces you to numbers, conditions, and square meters? A little BTS moment from the October shoot of Holland Gate. Big thanks to this beautiful crew 🎥✨ In August 2021, the Taliban took Kabul. The Dutch government began evacuations only after the city fell. At the airport, a single gap in the fence became the last route to safety. Holland Gate looks back at those days, asking who made it through, who was left behind, and how impossible decisions were made in moments of fear and uncertainty.
