Huge thanks to Sergio Burstein for his incredible review in the Los Angeles Times. And this marks our first review ‘en español.’ Viva La Gunfighter 🔥 @latimesespanol@latimes@latimes_entertainment
Wonderful opening night at @amctheatres Lincoln Square in NYC. Packed house. People from TX, NC, VA, Boston, Maryland, all came up for the show. My students from Brooklyn College came out. The one and only Glenn Kenny hosting the best conversation and solving a literary riddle in Gunfighter - something no one has figured out before. And most importantly a group of the best friends, family, and collaborators a guy could ask for all in one spot. A magical time I’ll never forget. My sincerest thanks to everyone who showed up.
Kodak Tri-X 400 🎞️ - Rolleiflex 6x6. My favorite conversationalist and thinker, Gashe Embibel, seen here taking a moment in the middle of a thunderstorm-like discussion at thanksgiving.
No title will ever top this one from Debbie Elias @deblore . The alliteration…top tier. A journalist, writer, and producer of television and film for 30+ years: “A member of the prestigious Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia, Debbie is one of the few film critics in the country to have worked in both the technical and creative ends of the tv and film industries.” Bravo Debbie - and thank you for the outstanding article that follows up this radical title.
James Gadson. Such a beautiful soul and artist. Heartbreaking to hear of his passing. We were so honored to get to spend some time with him in his studio in LA last summer. He was not only one of the most influential drummers ever, he was also one hell of a singer and composer, as you can see in the clip here. Thank you for being so wonderful and kind Mr. Gadson 🙏 #jamesgadson
