Opening episode has a 15/16 minute open that rivals the best 17 minutes in tv history, which is Yellowstone, Season 4 opening with the coordinated attack on the Duttons. A number of similarities to the Yellowstone Ranch and how it was run, e.g., Rip hiring an ex-con fresh out of prison (just as he did with Walker).... Beth is still the baddest baddass around, a local sheriff has certain loyalties to one rancher..... Christina Voros was DP and director on these episodes and did a helluva job. Brian Tyler and Breton Vivian are scoring. The theme music is beautiful and melds the Old West with a bit of Hispanic influence. Musical motifs are starting to appear..... And talk about a very cool asshole!! Jai Courtney is one of the sons of Annette Bening's Beulah Jackson and starts things off with a drunken bang. Beulah's got some trouble on her hands with him!! Now, if we only had a "train station.". . . . . 😉
