10 years ago. In my tiny studio apartment, @tyga cutting vocals, @groovyq chilling on the bean bag for countless hours, nothing but a hat in the fridge, an eviction in process, my electricity cut off, stealing toilet paper from 24hr fitness, cars getting repo’d, half a sandwich in the morning and other half for dinner, selling the last of my equipment to keep it going but we worked through it all.
I remember me and @tyga made this album cover in a cracked copy of photoshop just a few hours before we dropped it on @hotnewhiphop and @datpiff (thank you to @deejayillwill )
This mixtape was the turning point in our careers and in turn I have so much gratitude towards it. I guess this displays that self fulfilling prophecies are real and even when times are rough, as long as you believe in something, and are able to put your mind and energy into it, that anything is possible.
