We’re excited and grateful to share that ‘I’m Made of This Earth’, our collaborative work, has been published by
@fword_magazine in their special issue LAYERD — an edition dedicated exclusively to non-binary, trans, and queer artists. It’s an honour for us to be included in a space that centres and uplifts our communities.
‘I’m Made of This Earth’ brings together photo-performance, land art, and poetry to explore the intersections of nature and body politics. In this work, we situate the trans and queer body in dialogue with the landscape, allowing soil, water, and stone to reflect histories of erasure, migration, and survival.
We approach the body as both ecological and political terrain — vulnerable yet resistant, scarred yet regenerative. The project insists on a sense of kinship between human identity and the biosphere, treating the earth not as a backdrop but as an active co-creator in the articulation of memory, trauma, and liberation.
Thank you to
@fword_magazine for offering a platform that holds and honours this work, and for celebrating non-binary, trans, and queer artists with intention and care.
