A little life update.

Demolition done, site cleared and ready for the next stage. A fresh start here in Ascot Vale as the extension gets underway. Stay tuned for some of my hot takes on this property as it all comes together. @theprojectadvisory @tp.builtgroup @_dood_studio

This is usually the moment people realise how big a renovation can get. My approach is simple. Reduce the pressure where you can. Finish the core spaces, get comfortable, then build from there.

The first step is figuring out what you actually want from the property. Is it a family home, a downsize, or a renovation to sell? From there it’s about turning everything into a clear direction that works in real life, not just on paper. Something that feels right to live in and still makes sense long term. Once that’s clear, it’s a lot easier to move forward without second guessing things.

Renovating is never just about the building itself. Every project carries pressure beyond the site — decisions stack up, relationships are tested, boundaries get pushed, and the simple things on paper rarely stay simple in reality. Give the project the attention it needs, but don’t forget to give yourself the same. Keep your cup full.

What a day, what a journey. I have been an athlete the majority of my life, testing my self physically is nothing new and although I knew this would be challenging, I had no idea what I was signing up for. I gave this absolutely everything. Training in thailand, in the ring with Tyson fury, watching world champions spar ringside, the sparing sessions at different gyms, daily training, being worried before sessions then doing well, being confident before sessions then getting beat up, cutting weight, icing my face after sparing, shadow boxing 24/7, watching hours of boxing, endless chatGPT hours, selling over 35k of tickets for the fight night, raising 5k for men’s mental health. @spoketoabloke Every single thing a first for me, every single thing was a challenge. I’m a different person for the experience. The respect I have for fighters is immense, the discipline and the mental toughness that is required to just be mid at this sport is something you have to experience to understand. If you think that a professional fighter doesn’t get nervous, doesn’t get anxious and he/she doesn’t test themself every day just as much as the beginner, you’d be very wrong. Thank you to everyone who shared this with me, for all the messages of love and support, for the donations, for buying tickets and cheering me on. I’m truly blessed to have so many people in my corner. To my beautiful and amazing wife @soniamorano_ for letting me commit to this and losing me for the last 6 months. Coming to my sessions, listening to me break down my mistakes, pumping up and even holding pads. You are my queen. I love you. @jontemets the time and effort you have given me has been incredible, I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without your support. Even during your own camp, you were there at every step. Did you know... Most renovation blowouts aren’t bad luck, they’re the result of poor planning. Not getting the right advice, or pushing ahead without it, often leads to costly mistakes later.
