Enter the new year ā€œlightā€. Ready to attack vs playing catchup. Delete the emails you don’t need, clean the desk, cancel the subscriptions, clear out the closet, remove the apps you don't need. Come into 2026 ready to attack! Thanks for having me on @dailystoicpodcast

This SIMPLE RULE has changed my life šŸ‘‡ It’s called ā€œKEVIN’S RULEā€ (named and coined from my friend Kevin) Every other month you take a day or so and schedule a mini adventure or activity you normally wouldn’t have done. So, Instead of watching the football game on Saturday… you go to a conference, run a race, visit a friend, etc. The math works. If you do that simple rule from age 30 to 70 you will have banked 240 mini adventures that you otherwise wouldn’t have done. That’s how you BUILD A GREAT LIFE RESUME. #KevinsRule

The next time you feel EXHAUSTED… TRY THIS. Your biggest limitation is your mind. This clip is from my convo with @jaywilliams at my leadership retreat at Duke University

LIFE HACK: Imagine if you’re 30 and you do this until you’re 70…you’ll have 40 YEAR DEFINING things on your LIFE RESUME. You won life. You want your Misogi to be so challenging there is a chance you don’t finish it…and that looks different for everyone. For some people it can be signing up for a 5k… for others a marathon…. For others a 100 mile race. Pick something challenging for YOU. And put it on the calendar. It will do the following… 1. Focus you… allow you to say ā€œnoā€ to things that don’t matter 2. Build confidence… working towards something really challenging 3. When you complete it… you’ll think you can do anything. So when you’re done….go double the business plan!šŸ˜‚

#1 SECRET TO SUCCESS. ā€œYou keep putting one foot in front of the other...then one day...you have climbed an entire mountain." True for business, working out, and basically any goal you have. JUST KEEP RUNNING. JUST KEEP WRITING. JUST KEEP______. RELENTLESS FORWARD MOTION.

MY WIFE JUST GOT INDUCTED INTO THE NATIONAL INVENTORS HALL OF FAME. There have been 10 million patents issued in the USA and only 600+ inductees. So who’s in the Hall? Thomas Edison (lightbulb). Alexander Graham Bell (telephone). The Wright Brothers (the AIRPLANE). Nikola Tesla. Steve Jobs. Walt Disney. SARA! In @sarablakely 's 2026 class of inductees: Feng Zhang… invented CRISPR (he literally edits the human genetic code). Teresa Meng… made Wi-Fi work. Gebisa Ejeta… engineered sorghum hybrids that feed millions of people across Africa. A team that invented a wound-healing device that's saved millions of lives. WOW! Sara turned $5,000 into a billion dollar company. No outside investors. No debit. Owned 100% of @spanx for the first 21 years. Didn't pay for a single ad for the first 15 years. Never took a business class. When people ask me what it's like being married to Sara…I always say she’s ā€œHalf Einstein. Half Lucille Ballā€. Resume On Point: National Inventor Hall of Fame. Time 100 Person of the Year. Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. Recent doctorate. And on and on…. Still waiting for he to hit her stride. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

MY 2026 MISOGI Every year we do one thing so hard…we’re not sure we’re going to finish it. That ritual is called a Misogi. One year-defining event… something scary, something hard, something that changes you. 2015.. I wrote a book. 2017… My partners and I launched a fitness company 2022… Ultraman! 2023… rode my bike across America So what’s 2026? My partner Marc Hodulich and are doing what we call The 29029 TRIPLE: SWIM: 29,029 ft. (5.5 miles) BIKE 29,029 ft. of elevation gain (the equivalent of biking the height of Mt Everest) Hike: A 29029 Event (the equivalent of climbing the height of Mt Everest) This will take us several days. I’m guessing the bike will be over 20 hours and the climb will be close to 28 hours (at least for me). We’re going to be posting training updates throughout the year. Follow along.

Go New York Go! I wrote the original song (which is 1 minute and 12 seconds long so it can play during a timeout) on spec . Played it for the Knicks in 1993 and they bought it outright. I updated it every year for over a decade as new players came and went. Some legends were on it over the years as we had guest features (Q-Tip, Mobb Deep, Ed Lover, DJ SKRIBBLE, Angie Martinez, etc) Thanks Ernie Grunfeld, Nancy Grunfeld, Dave Checketts, Pam Harris, Billie Streets, Petra Pope, Gary Winkler and the entire Knicks staff of the 90’s for the opportunity. And Dana Mozie for producing the track and of course Gary Spitalnik for singing the chorus with me and having my back. ā€œIf you’re a Knicks fan once you’re a Knicks fan for lifeā€! #GoNyGo #StillHeavy #Knicks

I’m getting a lot of questions about ā€œcultureā€. Some of the strongest connections in my life were built outside the office. I’ve found that when people adventure together, they stop acting like coworkers and start rooting for each other like close teammates. And the more you experience together, the closer the family/team gets. This convo was from my Leadership retreat at Duke University. Thanks Coach Scheyer and Wojo for joining me
