Words turn trivial when trying to express my gratitude to Ozzy for having shared the lifetime with him on same planet. He was the very Ore of Heavy Metal and we are all from Him.
It also feels surreal to have played a small part in his universe. I was blessed enough to have worked for him on number of occasions, out of which the greatest must be this one.
In 2018 I was invited to the project by Bea Akerlund @bcompleted to design @ozzyosbourne microphone stand. We all know Giger Korn stand right? Its hard to grasp what it meant being entrusted to design one for Ozzy. The process from designing the complex yet practical item on paper through intricate 3d modelling done by my amazing friend Tomek StrzaĆkowski @tomstrzal , until the production of actual stand by Jerry Constantine @jerryconstantinefx - it was one hell of a ride. Sadly the exquisite item didnt make it to the stage. Shortly after completion Ozzy fell ill and then pandemic started. On Birmingham date Ozzys prohibitive condition had him seated, so now the mike stand will probably only resurface in his museum at some point. In months preceding the final gig, we still managed to design a walking cane he used in Birmingham and a bat-walker for him. Little did we know.
Goodbye Ozzy, we owe you our lives.
