Artist Spotlight ⭐️ Jerron Paxton ⭐️ Acclaimed blues singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jerron Paxton released his most recent album, Things Done Changed, on Smithsonian Folkways in 2024. Once described as “virtually the only music-maker of his generation—playing guitar, banjo, piano, and violin, among other implements—to fully assimilate the blues idiom of the 1920s and ‘30s” by the Wall Street Journal, the thirty-five-year-old’s latest collection is his first of all original songs. Pairing Paxton’s lived-in voice and California drawl underpins a stripped-down concoction of blues, ragtime, folk, and old-time Black music styles that originated nearly a century ago.
Join your festival hosts and beloved local Roots musicians Ken & Brad Kolodner as they welcome you to the Baltimore Museum of Industry April 17-18th for a music celebration fun for all ages! Concerts, workshops, square dancing, jamming, food/drink vendors, kids programming and more on the gorgeous waterfront campus of the Baltimore Museum of Industry with stunning views of the Baltimore skyline. Join us! The festival is produced by the Center for Cultural Vibrancy.
Hey gang, I had a little hand trouble in France a little bit ago and had to had an operation on one of my favorite digits, my middle finger. Though it was a small operation the did remove enough meat to feed a small dog, but the human body is amazing and most of that flesh has grown back making the show with @dennislichtman yesterday in Florida quite a success. We’ve got more shows in FL, AL, and TN. Come on out.
Thanks to all the people who checked on me.
Much Love
