U, LOST + WHAT I GOTTA DO __ OUT NOW x
I took the time and space I needed to explore my sound as an independent artist. 3 1/2 years of working on this project.
Doing anything on your own takes a different kind of discipline and practice. Being your own champion & resource.
I’ve been writing and producing music since I was 13, but putting together a complete body of music that might reflect the whole and broken pieces that are apart of me now was a different kind of challenge. I’m so excited and grateful to begin sharing this music & bringing people into my heart. Sonically and visually.
U,LOST & WHAT I GOTTA DO are the first two records off the new project. I felt it was important to release the two records at the same time so people can recognize I’m not here just to drop singles, but to tell a story if I can x
love to @cprinz__ + @parrisgoebel & every person that helped bring this vision to fruition

FROM THE MOST HONEST, RAW, & VULNERABLE PART OF ME.
i’ve been quietly working on the pieces to this project for over 3 1/2 years now.
THIS IS AN INTIMATE EXPLORATION OF WHAT HAPPENS IN THE MIND & IN GOOD HEART. WHAT HAPPENS IN SPIRIT & IN TRUTH.
We all have the right to love. the right to get it wrong, then right, then wrong again. We all have the right to question our purpose. To wonder whether the cards we’ve been dealt, or the choices we make in this life, are rooted in something bigger and greater than our hearts could ever imagine.
ART HAS A WAY OF FINDING THE PEOPLE IT NEEDS 2.
THE PEOPLE THAT ARE READY & WILLING TO RECEIVE IT…
TO MY INDEPENDENT FILM MAKERS & ARTIST,
It doesn’t always take a studio. It takes spirit 🖤

As an artist, I believe that the pursuit of art is about making space for truth, for vulnerability, and for the parts of our history that don’t always get to exist in rooms like this.
This ’96/97 @viviennewestwood piece has lived in my mind for years because of how it manifests itself on the body.
It holds contradiction in a way that feels honest to me.
Intentionally crafted and designed by hand, it carries history, both beautiful and painful.
This feels like my personal artist thesis statement.
A visual currency for how I’ve learned to walk in my truth as a Black man, making space for my lineage that is rich, strong, and resilient.
It’s about presence. It’s about allowing all of these truths to exist at once, & trusting
that there is power in being seen fully, without apology.
I wear it to honor that fullness.
Art. An infinite source of healing. The observation of it. The pursuit of it. The surrender to it.

My creativity doesn’t turn off after fashion’s biggest night. It evolves. Grateful to share a little of that process with @GQ , all filmed #withGalaxy S26 Ultra. @samsungmobileusa
I feel so fortunate to witness and serve as a co-producer on this historic moment with @catsjellicleball .
I stand in awe of the entire cast and crew, who selflessly give everything they have on that Broadway stage eight times a week, creating a safe space that holds every fraction and morsel of emotion for all of us to dwell in. I am honored to advocate for this reimagining of a story that leaves a visceral imprint on its audience.
Cats was the very first musical I was ever a part of in high school, and at the time, it was affirming in so many ways. Supported by my dad, who made my costume, it was an early moment in my life when I felt fully encouraged to stand in my truth and share my gift through storytelling.
From our ancestors, to house mothers and chosen family, to the ones unnamed and forgotten, this show is a testament to the times. To the revolution. To the battles we have won, and to the battle that has only just begun…
I encourage everyone to tell everyone: come see our show, CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL, on Broadway.Stand in awe with me of what love, persistence, and sacrifice can look like.

JEREMY POPE REWRITES THE SCRIPT ❤️🔥 Introducing the next cover star of our VMAN 56 Spring/Summer 2026 issue.
@jeremypope is in a reflective season. Going from the hit Netflix series ‘Hollywood’—a performance that earned him an Emmy nomination—to starring on Broadway as legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in ‘The Collaboration,’ Pope kicked off an exciting decade with a stride. Yet, his latest genre-bending collaboration with fellow multi-hyphenate Ryan Murphy, ‘The Beauty,’ is his most striking and timely project yet—serving as a conversation on the cultural landscape of beauty.
Photographed by @luigiandiango and styled by @jakesammis for VMAN 56, discover Pope’s full cover story at the link in bio.
