Finally took sabbatical after banking it for 2.5 years. Did mostly a whole lot of nothing the last six weeks, but also:
Read two books, ran some miles, went on a honeymoon to St. Lucia, saw LOTR extended editions in theaters, watched 8+ seasons of The Walking Dead, ate hot dogs, saw Miguel live, spent time with friends, went to Georgia for a wedding, Wendy got a little older, a lot of Simba time, lot of Wendy time, and probably some other stuff.
We back.
To my wife,
Aging like the absolutely finest wine. Every year getting to grow old with you is a gift.
Happy birthday to the love of my life, and beyond
“There’s a certain romance and vibe to Cross Country. Watching the grit and grind these kids have makes you want to spike up on the grass.”
Cross Country Camps, Spike Nights, Gear Ups, Invitationals, Panels, Dinners, State Meets, Regionals, Nationals. It’s a been a wild ride these past 6+ months (with months of work leading up to it).
Cross Country is special, and the people in it even more special. There is without a doubt truly nothing else like it.
Every moment makes me fall in love with the sport and this Brand all over again. All in service of one singular idea that I can only hope to emulate and achieve: bring amazing, worthwhile, lasting experiences and impressions to the future of this sport and, hopefully, cultivate and grow the love and passion for running.
Thank you to every single person and beyond that’s been apart of this journey. None of this would be possible without you in it.
Running doesn’t stop though. So let’s get it 😤
