I can’t believe we pulled it off. We started with an untested transmission and a wildly misbehaving car that eventually broke completely. Making wild adjustments in the dark hoping to reel the car’s behavior in, grasping at straws, throwing shit against the wall seeing what sticks, etc. With each passing session we were able to dial the car in more and I was able to build more confidence and eventually we were able to extract a 1:53 out of the car during the hotter sessions of the day, which was not only good enough for pole, but also good enough for not just the front wheel drive record (sorry Noah!) but also the overall record for the class which was our initial goal from 2021. To be able to finally achieve it amongst all the struggles with the car and against incredible drives from
@boosted_wheelz and
@chrishasacamera , made for an extremely satisfying end to the campaign. What an incredible conclusion to this chapter.
There were so many MVP’s this weekend that were supporting me, without whom I probably would’ve ended up just towing the car home yesterday.
@mattcheww for all his sweat equity under the hood, taking apart and putting together half the engine bay multiple times to finally get the car back up.
@fk8_eric for the data analysis that helped show me that there was hope and we were trending faster, but just needed to finish a lap.

@k20z3allmotor and made the 3 hour trip up to deliver a part the size of a wallet that was keeping the car from running. And
@bigred.ksr , the living legend that was essentially our phone a friend/engineer that gave us advice on setup and driving tips.
Each time I go out on the track I stand on the shoulders of my friends and my team to reach the heights I could never achieve alone. Words can never convey how grateful I am of them and their efforts. This one is for all of you. #1. Overall Enthusiast Class Record.
