The Church of the Ascension, completed in 1907, is a historic masonry structure made of Beaver Valley Sandstone with intricate carvings in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood.
In 2001, Jendoco was selected to build a two-story Educational Wing addition and renovate their existing Parish Hall.
Upon completion of the Education Wing Project Jendoco conducted a full masonry analysis of the church, tower, and Parish Hall, leading to a
restoration that cleaned decades of black soot, re-pointed masonry joints with historically appropriate lime-putty mortar, and stabilized all failing steel.
In 2024, Jendoco and Rothschild Doyno Collaborative completed a Parish Hall addition that celebrates a thriving congregation and connects once isolated campus buildings with active social spaces, a transparent entry that

Governor Josh Shapiro toured the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) with local and legislative leaders to learn about how CCAC is giving students the freedom to chart their own course to successful careers and addressing critical workforce needs in Pennsylvania.
Jendoco’s own Justin Herder did just that. Having completed his apprenticeship and working as a carpenter journeyman, he wanted to learn new skills.
He chose to enroll at CCAC in partnership with the Carpenter Union to earn two separate degrees in Estimating and in Construction & Supervision.
Combining his skills as a Superintendent and now an Estimator, Justin utilized his valuable field experience along with his CCAC education to complete a project at the Duquesne University Kline School of Law.
With his CCAC Degrees, Justin is adding real field experience and vision to the Jendoco estimating team.
