Stopped by the river, hoping I still had at least one quiet getaway spot to fish in Fishtown this summer. Happy to say I do. Not exactly the Greenbergs, but close. One day, this too will all be condos…but this summer at least, we can still fish.
So proud of my friend Becky for her Distinguished Educator Award from the District. Also happy to celebrate with all this year’s recipients for their accomplishments in this beautiful place where I took weekend art classes as a kid. It’s great to build new memories here.
Angel and his lil’ boy. Memphis Street Academy student from our early days. Kid was very tall, as I remember. He reminded me of a memory today about him defending me to some classmates trying to raise some kind of ruckus in my art room. The older I get, alotta those memories get cloudy. But I immediately remembered this kid was all love…and still is! A special kinda grown man. Met his Wife and Son, talked to his Mom of FaceTime. Super emotional reunion. This is a beautiful life, ain’t it?
