Very surreal experience✨
Shared the stage with these absolute legends of the comic industry at the Kochi Comic Con yesterday for a Comic Creators’ Jam, coming up with a short 7 panel strip on the spot :’)
On the panel were @sajjive sir, @ashaante_comics@artofroshan , @mascarenhas.savio , @abhikini and THE @parentdaniel of Archie comics.
Tinkle magazine was a huge inspiration for me growing up. So meeting @abhikini and @mascarenhas.savio was a dream come true 💜
@abhikini ’s works on Defective Detectives & Butterfingers were one of my first introductions into how fun and goofy comics could be! Coming back from school and copying those pages onto my sketchbook was a childhood hobby of mine, so sharing this stage with him felt unreal :') Feeling very proud to look back at that 12 year-old schoolboy and tell him: “One day you will meet this artist in person, so don’t give up yet” 🫂
I was also lucky enough to have a quick chat with @parentdaniel , and hearing him call my monkey illustration “adorable” is a moment I’ll always hold onto.
Extremely grateful to @sanidasifali , @unkoolie , @silver_panda_ and @comicconindia for this opportunity and for making my first Comic Con experience a very special part of my journey. ✨
