I became genuine homies with Marc over quarantine. He was going to school for screenwriting and I was coincidentally making a short film that needed a script. We worked on this project together and I’d personally say that was the start of both our business and personal relationship. Nothing was known at the time other than we were two hungry artists looking to fulfill something within ourselves; hopefully others along the way. And if fast forward to now, this video is a testament to our friendship. Years of us trying to make art work in our favor and we’re seeing the fruits of our labor. I don’t care where we are on this ladder of life; I just care that we’re on it together. I want to give my huge thanks to Andrea, Richard, & James for instilling so much trust that we’ll do our jobs to our best extent and instill the same passion they feel for the ‘come home’ EP. The only thing I can really share is what it took to get here. A little over a year ago, I was assigned to shoot BRB’s concert at the Midway SF by @ricespicemag . Sydney (@sydneyliing ) said I could shoot/interview EJ on top of that assignment, which might’ve been the reason this is happening now. During that interview, I got a little bit of insight into how weird (awesome) EJ was. They even invited me and Leif to the group dinner that same night. I saw this spark of inspiration and wonder in them and stayed close ever since. After the first few interactions between me and them, I had such a hard itch that I’d be creating something beautiful with EJ one day. And now I can confidently say that went through. I couldn’t have asked for better for a project I hold this close to my chest.
