컨셉부터 콘텐츠, 레이아웃, 커버와 내부 그래픽 디자인까지 전부 다 내 손을 거쳐 만들어낸 소중한 나의 첫 매거진, i eight my magazine 📕
매거진 그래픽 디자인은 처음 해보고 인디자인도 익숙하지 않아 잘할 수 있을지 너무 걱정이 되었는데, 하다보니 내 스타일이 잘 나오고 조금씩 모양이 갖춰지면서 재미있게 했다. 그리고 스스로 준비하면서 인디자인과 인쇄 관련하여 정말 많은 것들을 배웠다!
파리의 온갖 도서관과 노트북 가능한 카페는 다 찾아다니며 작업을 했고 인쇄 마감 전 몇일을 밤 새면서 레이아웃을 하느라 어깨와 목이 망가지고 아팠지만, 첫 샘플을 받아보니 너무 신기했고, 신나고 행복했던 기억이 잊혀지지 않는다 🙃 최종마감 직전까지 더 욕심내서 수정하고 추가하느라 인쇄소 담당자님이 곤란해하셨지만 😅 마지막까지 신경써서 만든 만큼 만족스러운 결과물이 나온 것 같다
그리고 경민 언니의 너무나도 고마운 제안으로 내가 인스타에 올리기 전에 뉴뉴를 통해 먼저 공개가 되었는데, 생각보다 정말 많은 응원과 관심을 받아 많이 놀랐고..! 감사하고 또 감동했다 🤍 그렇게 대단한 사람이 아닌데.. 정말 감사하다는 말밖에 나오질 않는다
제일 힘들었던 마지막 한달동안 옆에서 응원해준 파리에 있는 내 껌과 가족같은 친구들, 그리고 멀리서도 항상 든든하게 내 편이 되어주는 한국의 가족들과 친구들 덕분에 더욱 힘을 내서 매거진을 완성할 수 있었던 것 같다
6개월동안 정말 많은 도움을 주신 나라 멘토님, 우리 ifm 교수님들께 정말 감사드리며, 이런 분들을 만나 정말 행운이라고 생각한다
앞으로 재미있는 작업물 더 열심히 올려봐야겠다 🙂🍪
after countless nights spent awake working, massive shoulder and neck pains, and numerous menu discoveries at picard, i finally made my own magazine, my first ever magazine ♥️
i really cannot believe my magazine has been printed and presented because it seemed like this project would never end.. there were countless times where i wanted to just runaway from all this heheh 💨
but in the end i made it and i am proud of myself for doing the layout, graphic design and cover design myself. it’s a super big achievement for me as it was the first time making and designing a magazine on my own, and even using indesign, so i was scared of how it would turn out. i remember being so anxious before looking at the first sample, but when i received it and saw my work printed, i was so happy and got excited about my work.
thanks to my dear friend boo unnie, who kindly suggested to promote it on her amazing food and lifestyle magazine, i got an unexpected amount of love and attention from my home country that i really don’t know if i deserve, but nevertheless so so grateful
thank you to everyone, my friends and family in paris and seoul, who were always there to support me and cheer me up during this rocky roadtrip, and my mentor and professors who encouraged me and gave me motivation to achieve what

i eight my magazine is a yearbook magazine.
it is and is not about food.
it is a personal yet relatable way to explain the role of an art director, a job that is often misunderstood.
set in a parallel world, eight “food students” prepare their graduation projects, mirroring the real experiences of fashion image graduates.
through satire, metaphor, and humor, food becomes a visual language to express the realities, challenges, and pleasures of creative work, offering a playful yet meaningful view of art direction beyond trends and conventions.
