In February, we launched Our Tomorrow. A youth-led creative insights project that directly responds to the challenges young Londoners face.
By placing young people in the driving seat as storytellers, interviewers, filmmakers, and evaluators, the project creates space for under-reached young people to be met where they are. And to speak openly, confidently, and genuinely about what matters to them.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing the themes that emerged from Our Tomorrow, as defined by the young storytellers.
Today it’s all about Safe Spaces 🏡
Local authority spending on youth services in England has fallen by around 73% since 2010/11. At the same time, the need for safe, trusted spaces for young people has never been greater.
Our Tomorrow captures the power of these spaces.
Making clear why supporting the people who support young people must be a national priority.
We hope to show what’s possible when young people are trusted to shape those spaces themselves.

Back in November we were invited to take part in UCL's Connecting the Dots conference bringing together professionals from the Home Office, academia, and community organisations. We ran a couple of workshops using our film "Bando" as a springboard to understand young Londoner's lived experience and drive real meaningful conversations around safe spaces, violence affecting young people and mental health & wellbeing.
