Strengjavera – Jack Armitage – Mengi Records MENGI20 Strengjavera (“string being”) deconstructs and reinterprets the grand piano as a living entity imbued with biologically-inspired intelligences. No human performer is present, no keys are touched, and no harmonic language is enforced. Strengjavera - Very Limited Vinyl Edition We @mengi_iceland are proudly offering a highly limited Vinyl Edition of Strengjavera cut by hand by Vinny Wood and Lukasz Stencel of Silo Phonograph Cutting, Stöðvarfjörður, East Iceland. In contrast to the digital release, the vinyl’s tracks were meticulously cross-faded by mixing engineer @joshua.sdxsn to create a continuous playback experience, akin to the original installation. Each individual vinyl is adorned with a unique sticker label, created as a piece of generative typographic art by Jack Armitage based on the album’s track titles, authored by @mariaebragadottir .
