Meet Jonathan ( @jdaster64 ), on keys. Influenced by various classical, ragtime, and jazz pianists since childhood, especially Scott Joplin and Vince Guaraldi, Jonathan has years of experience performing solo arrangements of tunes from the Mario, Kirby, Pokémon, and EarthBound series. Since then, regular jams in the NYC + broader VGM scene, as well as further exposure to samba, bossa, and Japanese jazz fusion, have led to his contributing to Lazy Shell in a wide variety of styles.

For this upcoming session, we are excited to host one of our long time regular attendees, Jonathan “JDAster64” Aldrich! JDAster has been a part of our community for the longest time, holding it down on the keys, and this month he is bringing his group Lazy Shell! We're back with another monthly jam session! Last year during our Surging Summer Sessions, we had a full night dedicated to the music from the Kirby franchise. Now, back by popular demand, we're taking a trip back to Dreamland for another night of music from all of the Kirby games! To bring this music to life, we're calling on one of our veteran supporters JDAster64 and his group Lazy Shell!
