ABOUT JENNIFER
Jennifer A. Basile (born Manhasset, New York) lives and works in Miami, Florida. She received a B.F.A. from the University of Miami and an M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. A Floridian for over 30 years, Basile creates large-scale relief prints focused on the American landscape.
Selected solo exhibitions include The Power of Print: Iconic Images of the American Landscape (2019), Lasting Impressions: A Cessation of Existence (2022), and In the Wake of Reflection (2025), all at LnS Gallery, Coconut Grove, Florida. Her work has also been featured in group exhibitions at Art Expo Chicago (Navy Pier) and LnS Gallery.
Basile is a recipient of the Miami-Dade County Artist Stipend (2022–2025) and the Oolite Ellies Grant (2023), and has contributed to the Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places program. She has held fellowships at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts, MASS MoCA, The Studios of Key West, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center.
Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, the Lowe Art Museum, the Museum of Art and Design, the Tucson Museum of Art, and the Bernice Steinbaum Collection.
