Don’t worry, you only have 1 more day before you get to find out how FUN printmaking is! It’s amazing how a good vibe can make the daunting task of a 6 panel 3’x6’ reduction linocut a total blast. We have such a good time when @jbasile40 is in the studio burning through ink and using every brayer in the shop 💪 Check out @lnsgallery for more of Jen’s work and come see us TOMORROW, March 20th from 5-9 at @bakehouseartcomplex to try your hand at pulling a print or two while dreaming up your next print project. Happy Belated Jen ❤️🍀 #sharedprintmakingfacilities #isprojects #miami #linocut miamiartist

VAS Art Productions, with the professionalism of its art photographer Luis Eligio d’Omni (OmniOk), created the official photographic documentation of Coastal Anchor (2025), a mosaic art piece by Jennifer Basile for Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places at the new Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center. Our camera drifts into its mosaic tiles as if reading the quiet lines that keep Miami bound to its coast. Grateful to the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and their team for their vision and trust. #vasartproductions #jenniferbasile #artinpublicplacesmdc

“Theater of Spaces” has officially come to a close! Seeing people engage with the work in their own unique ways was truly the highlight. We experienced new layers in my video installations. Each layer adds depth, emotion, and new meaning, transforming the whole experience. Thank you @2urn_ The possibilities feel infinite now. It’s like the work is breathing in new directions I hadn’t imagined before. So much more to explore—this is just the beginning! Featured within the heart of Jennifer Basile’s exhibition, 𝑰𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, is 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦—an intimate space featuring six multihued pastel drawings on black paper of the now-lost 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐲. Hung low and viewed with a soundtrack of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, viewers are invited to contemplate in a manner of mourning, much as one may do in a place of worship. Her subject—various views of Long Boat Key on Florida’s west coast—now permanently altered or decimated. This suite of ghostly drawings replicates the compositional construction emulated in the philosophy of Basile’s printmaking practice—as she builds the image over the dark paper, she carves out the image in lightness and color rather than imposing upon it. Visit us to view Jennifer Basile’s exhibition 𝑰𝒏 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, Tuesday–Friday, 11am–6pm, and Saturday, 12pm–5pm. 📸: Installation view of the “𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐲” drawings featured in Basile’s (@jbasile40 ) project room—𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦. #lnsgallery #jenniferbasile #inthewakeofreflection #printmaking #drawing #soloexhibition #longboatkey #mourningroom

OPENING SOON 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝓘𝓷 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓸𝓯 𝓡𝓮𝓯𝓵𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 Join us 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, from 𝟲–𝟵𝗽𝗺 for the opening reception of 𝓘𝓷 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓸𝓯 𝓡𝓮𝓯𝓵𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷, Jennifer Basile’s third solo exhibition at LnS, presented in the company of the artist. Refreshments will be served. 🥂 Over the last two decades, Basile (@jbasile40 ) has developed an extensive body of work depicting the elemental marvels of America’s natural spaces, from elegant bird portraits to dense mangrove marshes traced with the intimacy of memory. In this new chapter, reflection takes center stage, with mirrored horizons transforming familiar landscapes into meditations on ecological loss, preservation, and reverence. A highlight of the exhibition is 𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒶 𝒞𝓁𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓀𝓎 (2025), Basile’s largest color reduction print to date. This monumental six-panel color reduction immerses viewers in the mirrored slough of a cypress dome, marking a milestone in her career and amplifying the themes at the heart of the show. 🔗Click the link in our bio to view the digital catalogue. We look forward to seeing you there! ✨ 📸 Installation view of: Jennifer Basils, 𝒩𝑜𝓉 𝒶 𝒞𝓁𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝓀𝓎 (2025), color relief print on Japanese rice paper, six panels, 78.5 x 228 inches (framed). #JenniferBasile #IntheWakeofReflection #LnSGallery #MiamiArt #Printmaking #BigCypress #SoloExhibition
