The Joy and Enjoy in our dance Practice!
How often we feel demotivated in our own dance practice? In the classes that we are taking?
Try to observe and to connect with the word Joy and Enjoy within your practice!
What is Joy and Enjoy in your dance?
The important question here is:
• Do i Enjoy right now what i am doing?
• Which part of my practice do i Enjoy? Which part of my practice is making me “fly”?
• What do I practice automatically or maybe for someone.. maybe i do not want to dance it anymore?
• What type of my dance practice “Actual Me” wants to develop?
Answering the questions and observing your inner state of Joy in your practices will lead you to your own path in artistic practice!
Within our practices we work a lot with an improvisational self-expression through the rhythmical and footwork conversations.
“The most common form of improvisation is ordinary speech.
As we talk and listen, we are drawing on a set of building blocks (vocabulary) and rules for combining them (grammar). These have been given to us by our cul-ture.
But the sentences we make with them may never have been said before and may never be said again.

How do we practice and develop the free improvisation in the footwork dances? Based on house dance and uk jazz dance Experience
Several ideas⏯️
👟you already have a basic steps,
🛼create concepts that u can apply on the basic steps (simple elements, like heel toe, kicks and jumps)
👞take inspiration of some dance elements form the other dance forms ( footwork or not) and practice it with a step, look what will appear,
🔻do not create a choreographies of steps🤓
🪩apply free “games” with rhythms, pauses, space and repetition
👩🎨make it as an explorative game for you with an idea :” what will happen if i will take this step and mix it with..”
and go for it! Be creative! Enjoy practicing!
