Just heartsick over the passing of my fierce warrior empress of a friend, Kiara St. James. Rest in Power. We shall carry your memory in our hearts, drawing strength for the struggle against the white supremacist patriarchy that WE WILL WIN. 🩷🤍🩵
The cat is out of the bag! @gaysagainstgunsny will be one of the 5 Grand Marshals of the 2026 @nycpride March! 10 years after our first public appearance 2 weeks after the 6/12/16 Pulse Nightclub massacre shocked our nation and especially our LGBTQIA2S+ communities. We thank the NYC Pride team for honoring our 10th Anniversary so meaningfully. I've been sitting on these photos from our Grand Marshal photo shoot with @peppermint247 , @dominiquet.a.r.jackson , @cranford_radio , and @fayedunaway FOR A MONTH!!
We are deeply honored to be named a Grand Marshal for NYC Pride. Gays Against Guns was founded in direct response the loss of 49 lives at Pulse Nightclub on June 12, 2016. Two weeks later we marched in NYC Pride 1,000 strong, holding a memorable “die-in” along the March route. Ten years later, we are still grounded in the belief that visibility, public grief, and direct action can save lives. We show up as a visible reminder of the far too many lives lost to gun violence. Pride is rooted in protest, and this moment calls for continued direct action in the face of a simple truth: when hate is allowed to persist, queer lives are at risk. Direct action is part of our DNA. From the earliest days of Pride to now, change has come from people showing up and refusing to be ignored. We’re proud of both our place in history and the future for all of us in the community. Our ‘Human Beings’ are part of that lineage. They are a form of protest, but also a form of witness. We are saying these lives mattered, and we refuse to let them disappear. These are people who should still be here.
Please join us on June 28th as a ‘Human Being’ and honor a life lost to gun violence. The link to sign up is in our bio.
Thank you to @nycpride for this immense honor and to march with our other Grand Marshals Bowen Yang, Bernie Wagenblast, Peppermint and Dominique Jackson.
See you in the streets.

A few snaps from the @risenresistnyc Resistance Red Carpet outside the Met Gala this evening, because FAWK JEFF BEZOS AND ANNA WINTOUR'S OLIGARCH REPUTATION LAUNDERING SCHEME.
Some snaps from todays 10,000+ strong NYC May Day Rally jn Waahington Square and March to Foley Square. Si glad to spend it with my @risenresistnyc and @gurlstop.pod peeps!
We took it to the streets today and podcasted from the edge of the Mayday protest. NYC truly is the greatest city and we are so grateful to be in the middle of it. Also the Supreme Court (mostly) is racist. Period.
