It was quiet, sincere, and grounded in collective feeling. This year, I’ve returned with something louder: a trash can, overflowing with flowers - bright, unruly, a bit irreverent. It’s about joy in unexpected places. A reminder that beauty doesn’t need a special occasion or a frame to be worth noticing. The Church Street Marketplace is the perfect place for that kind of moment. It’s a crossroads — full of energy, community, and constant motion. It’s where daily life happens. Anna Teresa’s wedding morning at Basin Harbor Club was filled with the kind of emotion that lingers. Getting ready surrounded by her family, there were tender first looks with her dad, her grandfather, and her brothers — quiet, tear-filled moments that felt sacred and unforgettable. She was radiant in her Vera Wang gown, which felt perfect for this occasion in elegance and heart. Everything led up to seeing Matt in one of the iconic Basin Harbor cabins. Rain fell steadily outside, mingling with happy tears all day long — and somehow it only made everything more beautiful. Today we Petaled it forward in downtown Burlington. Spreading happiness by giving out 100 bouquets of flowers. Follow along at #PetalItForward all day! We fittingly started at "Anthology," Lydia Kern (@lydeia ) new public art installation on Main Street then turned the corner to visit our friends @churchstreetmarketplace . Thank you to @societyofamericanflorists The happiness expressed when giving flowers is just as strong as receiving: 80% of Americans say, “Receiving flowers from others makes me feel happy.” 88% say, “Giving flowers to others makes me feel happy. There is a direct link between flowers and positive emotions. In fact, a Rutgers University study demonstrates that the presence of flowers makes us happy – creating instant delight and enhancing our life satisfaction. Anna Teresa & Matt’s wedding at Basin Harbor Club was nothing short of unforgettable. Even with pouring rain, their joy never wavered—Anna Teresa radiant in her Vera Wang gown, Matt sharp in Tessuto.
