Trans rights forever, seriously
the debut @showgirl.ct album is out!
i painted the original painting the album cover was taken from in 2019. the painting was originally titled, "Long Live The Car Crash Hearts" (fall out boy reference!) this painting has been featured in exhibits, won a Scholastic award, been featured in SVA's Visual Opinion, this painting has certainly gotten around. it was an absolute honor for showgirl to use an edited version of the painting for their debut album cover. the edits applied were to make the rest of the painting grayscale and the woman's dress burgundy. i also added little lipstick kisses on the seat in procreate. the original painting is in acrylic.
i've wanted to use this painting for a project ever since i wanted to start a band in high school called "Car Crash Hearts." my former band Your Lucky Stars considered using it for their nonexistent album. i am so glad this painting has found a home as the artwork for the greatest album ever made.

we have a new shirt design by cecil @jaymay.mp3 inspired by Saints for Girls, with a front design of a fallen knight surrounded by cats and the lyric "If the world ended today, do you think the cat would make it out okay?" there is a back design with Cat Crash on the back and Joan of Arc's death date.
we have a new sticker design by dexter @dexter.sucks with an angel kitty in the trans colors with "CAT CRASH'S NOT DEAD" inscribed on their bass.
some of our items on bandcamp have been marked with "FINAL SALE," this means they are available in limited quantities and will NOT be restocked when they are gone.

all of this is available on catcrash.bandcamp.com!! on February 6th after 12AM PST (3AM EST) bandcamp waives their revenue share so all of your money goes directly to the artist. the money we make from bandcamp will be used to help us record our debut album. new year, new beginnings... and endings
the brett, briar, cecil era of cat crash is over.
that doesn't mean CAT CRASH is over. cats have 9 lives
i started this painting on May 28th, or more accurately i started a marker drawing of it that i subsequently ruined by spilling water all over it. what an apt metaphor for events that would occur that day, events that would change the fabric of Cat Crash forever in ways that were not one single person in the band's fault but also not briar's fault in any way shape or form. a problem we've been dealing with since the second tour finally came to its unwanted conclusion and we just knew things could not continue the way they've been going.
i loved this era of cat crash. i believed in this iteration of cat crash. i thought that it was going to be the three of us. but the time and place of us had other ideas.
cecil + brett + briar are over. but cat crash is not. see you in 2026
