Almost three years in the making, the Slant of Light LP officially entered the world today. I engineered, mixed, played the drums, and wrote the majority of the lyrics for this album, which is maybe the most I’ve ever put into a single record. My beautiful bandmates worked just as hard, and I’m lucky for them. Making stuff with my friends is my favorite part of life. Streaming everywhere and 12” vinyl available on Bandcamp (link in bio).

Congratulations to my friends Animal Surrender! whose second LP drops today on @ernestjenning . I was fortunate to record the majority of the album earlier this year. Mixed and mastered by who else but Mitch Rackin at Deep Dive. Animal Surrender! are playing a some gigs over the coming days including tonight at @hutghis and next Wednesday at Cassette in Ridgewood. I just wanted to share with those of you who have not heard, on 5/10 my mother transitioned to the astral plane. She passed in the hospital where I was born and one day before my birthday. If you know me even slightly well, you understand that she and I had a complicated relationship. But she taught me to read when I was four years old, which opened the world. For that I am immeasurably grateful and have found passage to forgiveness.
