On this day, as India celebrates the festival of Ganesha, I share with you my personal favourite artwork in the form of my Cosmic Elephant Sculpture. Hand-sculpted and Hand-painted over hundreds of hours, this work is my offering to the spirit of Ganapati, of Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, the harbinger of wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings. Every surface of this Fibre Glass hand sculpted balloon-born form carries a story: intricate miniature paintings, animals of myth and memory, architectural fragments, and cosmic motifs. A tapestry of colour and imagination, woven into a sculpture that stands as both play and prayer, staying true to my Pop-Surrealist style. Ganesha is known as the guardian of thresholds, the one who clears the path while reminding us to pause, reflect, and seek wisdom. In “Cosmic Elephant”, mirrors rise like portals, it reflects not just who you are, but who you are yet to find. This is not just a sculpture. It is a world to be felt, a celebration of art, of faith, of imagination, and of the joy that Ganesha Chaturthi brings. Sculpture by @jayeshsachdev Showing soon at the @taoartgallery 25th Anniversary show at Jehangir Art Gallery. My show “He who Permeates” a series of My sculptures and paintings will be opening at Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai alongside @nfnkalyan from 18th April. Come through. April 17, 2006* (typo in post) Not everything that is present makes itself known. Some things must be looked at long enough, and hard enough, before they begin to look back. He constructs visual worlds which are dense, demanding, mythologically saturated. They pull viewers into an arena where image is never innocent and meaning is never settled. He Who Permeates is not an exhibition that offers resolution. It offers, instead, the more difficult gift of sustained unease. The title is drawn from one of the popular monikers of Vishnu, the pervader, the one who does not dwell within the temple walls but is present in everything that the temple holds. It is a fitting frame for two practices that refuse containment, that seep through the boundaries of form, medium and iconography. He Who Permeates does not simply ask you to look, it asks you to enquire within. Not the self you imagine yourself to be, nor the self you are busy constructing, but something prior to both. - Mihir Thakkar / Curator @taoartgallery @mhrthkkr

I genuinely have no idea how to reduce Ladakh into 20 photographs when god knows I’ve come back with over 200 frames and even more moments I can’t possibly articulate. My first memory of Ladakh, from forever ago, definitely felt unfinished. I had left without fully experiencing it. Coming back now, travelling through both the iconic landscapes and the quiet hidden remote roads, something felt complete. The land of the high passes, mediating with 50 monks chanting prayers in the monasteries, the warmth of the Balti people on the edge of the world in Baltistan, the brutal cold of frozen expansive Pangong, the endless silence of snow blanketed Himalayas, it all has a way of making you feel incredibly small, yet strangely full at the same time. 🏔️❄️✨ 10/10 recommend @traveldirty for putting together one hell of a journey. You don’t walk into a temple, you arrive at a question. This exhibition moves between mythology, contemporary art, and introspection, using sculpture, painting, and immersive installation to explore identity, duality, and shifting energy. Hybrid forms, part animal, part instinct, part memory, become reflections of who we are beneath the surface. High-gloss finishes, pop culture, attention to detail and colour draw you in, but the experience unfolds slowly. The meaning isn’t fixed, it shifts depending on where you stand. From large-scale contemporary sculpture to an interactive LED installation, the space brings together art, philosophy, and technology as one continuous experience. For collectors, curators, architects, and those drawn to conceptual art, this is less about viewing and more about engaging. A space to pause. To reflect. To see differently. @hoegaardenindia x @jayeshsachdev Hoegaarden x Jayesh / Summer of Deliciousness. #DeliciousnessInAGlass For me, this collaboration with Hoegaarden is a celebration of indulgence as an art, turning simple moments into something layered and meaningful. The bold silhouettes, radiant colours, and lush forms are my way of elevating indulgence into something timeless, a reminder to savour the now and turn every sip into joy. I wanted it to feel less like an illustration and more like an immersive escape, a vibrant, premium tableau that mirrors the sophistication and pleasure of savouring Hoegaarden at its finest. This is crafted for all those who celebrate life’s extraordinary little pleasures. Jayesh x Hoegaarden India

The introspective art film by @hearandhowstudios x @jayeshsachdev articulates the unanswered questions I’ve had while building an entire body of work for my upcoming show at @taoartgallery These paintings use familiar visuals like hallways and arches, but they don’t feel like real buildings or temples. But more like a half-formed thought. The reflections in the paintings are where things get introspective. A wall suddenly acts like a mirror, and the whole space folds in on itself. You stop looking at the art and start feeling like you’re standing inside it. The seven hybrid mythological sculptures do the same thing. They aren’t meant to be literal figures. They are more like physical versions of the emotions we feel inside: the constant of existing in dualities. This Art exhibition is a blend of painting, sculpture, and big ideas. It is an invitation to slow down and look a little longer than usual. In that quiet moment, the question usually comes back. He who Permeates 18th April#Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai Curated by @mhrthkkr

Stay for the end. Eighteen feet. Eleven feet. Massive, massive sculptural works. And no, they don’t just “fit through the gate.” Four months of building. Fibre, iron, layers, real weight that humbles you. Then 1600 kilometres on a truck while I act calm and check in way more than necessary. Installation day is not graceful. It’s careful, tense, everyone thinking three steps ahead. The crane gets them down first. Then about twenty of us step in with straps, instructions flying around, a forklift nudging forward, pulleys taking the load. We move them the way you move something you really, really care about. And now they stand there. Tall. Effortless. Almost serene. The truth is, nothing about getting them here was effortless. But that’s the point. When the work is right and the team is solid, all the chaos fades… and what remains is presence.
