Only ten shows and nine of them our long loved @liam_andrews from @meine_diskothek and now @big_brave_ (as well as @asoutherncode ) will be opening solo with his AICHER sonic experience.

I actually took a few photos while in Seattle and Portland. Sailing with @benverellen witnessed @sunnofficial for the first time… though this is an awful photo of Stebmo who I’ve seen twice and really connect with his music. Hung out with a big dog named Boy. Originally released in 2014 as four different seven-inch records through four different record labels (Sophomore Lounge @technique_street We Are Busy Bodies @wearebusybodies Hawthorne Street @hawthornestreetrecords and Jade Tree @jadetree ) ...It’s Jayle Time! is the first actual full-length recording from Louisville Kentucky’s Jaye Jayle, but two of the songs from the session were never released. Twelve years later …It’s Jayle Time! receives its proper twelve-inch record release, including all ten songs from the recording session.
The first pressing is a limited edition of two hundred records; one hundred on black vinyl housed in a black ink screen printed chipboard jacket and one hundred on splatter gold vinyl housed in a gold ink screen printed black jacket. This album is the sonic building block for what would become Jaye Jayle’s defining sound of droning minimal blues, human drum machine-like percussion, dystopian synthetic atmospheres, and simple storytelling.

Yes. I’m wearing my band’s shirt, but you’ve never seen this one.
I’ve been patiently working on a special record of some old songs (a few you’ve never heard) that have been long out of print. Taking 20 copies to Seattle and Portland for the shows this week. The full Jaye Jayle band didn’t play a single show last year. That’s impressive for us. Hah! Staying home with my family and touring less truly makes these upcoming shows much more exciting than usual. In the next few days I’ll be announcing this release and a surprise show.

Power Sucker by Young Widows came out 1 year and 20 days ago.
Not unlike every other album that I have made; this is a very different album that stands on its own. Power Sucker is the least painful and least grey of all the Young Widows albums and I love that about it. If someone told 24 year old me that I would still be making Young Widows records in 20 years I would have laughed and said “yeah right” Truly incredible to experience all that we have done and all that we will continue to do. Thanks to all the friends for tagging along or letting us tag along last year: @porcelain_band@cherubsbandatx@kowloonwalled@fotocrime@ridofmeband@kal_marks_the_band@pygmylush@thou_band_official@null_vibes@helmsaleemusic wouldn’t have had such nice times without you.
