Originally released in 2014 as four different seven-inch records through four different record labels (Sophomore Lounge @technique_street We Are Busy Bodies @wearebusybodies Hawthorne Street @hawthornestreetrecords and Jade Tree @jadetree ) ...It’s Jayle Time! is the first actual full-length recording from Louisville Kentucky’s Jaye Jayle, but two of the songs from the session were never released. Twelve years later …It’s Jayle Time! receives its proper twelve-inch record release, including all ten songs from the recording session. The first pressing is a limited edition of two hundred records; one hundred on black vinyl housed in a black ink screen printed chipboard jacket and one hundred on splatter gold vinyl housed in a gold ink screen printed black jacket. This album is the sonic building block for what would become Jaye Jayle’s defining sound of droning minimal blues, human drum machine-like percussion, dystopian synthetic atmospheres, and simple storytelling. HALVES by NEW MOTHER NATURE is out now. Pick one up tonight at their record release show or order at the link in the bio. Halves by New Mother Nature consist of half of their 2012 full length and half of their 2014 full length. Originally released on CD and Cassette only. This is the first NMN 12 inch vinyl record and in our opinion their greatest songs from both of the aforementioned albums. Imagine if Gary Newman moved to southern Indiana became a farmer and started a Songs: Ohia cover band or maybe what if Neutral Milk Hotel did a collaboration with John Fahey and the Buzzcocks. I don’t know really quite how to pin their sound down and neither do you because you probably haven’t heard New Mother Nature. You probably don’t know how well they strike familiar chords of anthemic folk influenced post-punk that gifts the listener an enlightened feeling of just how fortunate we are to be alive. This is a the most done it ourselves Future Heart Works release yet. The jackets are screen printed with white and metallic gold ink. Even the record labels are hand screen printed with metallic gold ink. A limited edition of 180 on black vinyl.

WASTELAND by MAGGIE HALFMAN is out now! Order the 9 song 12 inch record at the bio link or go pick one up from @magdecent while on tour. Originally a digital/CD release in 2024, Wasteland is the first full length album from Wisconsian and now Louisvillian singer songwriter Maggie Halfman. While Maggie’s music has an out-of-this-world ethereal presence performed by a rotating cast of exceptional backing musicians, the power of these songs is the captivating control of her voice and the simple strum of the acoustic guitar. Imagine if Aldous Harding was to cover Lucinda Williams with a similar sonic gravity of Beck’s Sea Change. Yet, it’s none of these references. It is Maggie Halfman’s gorgeous first album and we are all looking forward to what she does next. The physical 12 inch record release of Wasteland features a new cover photograph by @danielleelisebartley and is a limited edition pressing of 100 translucent coral blue vinyl and 100 black vinyl.

Victoria (Tory) Fisher has been working on her first solo album for nearly a decade and has landed herself on these six absolutely out-of-this-world songs titled Old Hurts. Tory’s voice has a very deliberate musical theater influence. Imagine if Harry Nilsson preferred Leonard Cohen over the Beatles and if Ted Lucas’s OM album had a drummer. The songs are lyrically infectious, relatable, and revealing with coming-of-age themes. The traditional songwriter structures provide a saucer for exploring and experimenting with nontraditional instrumentation. Old Hurts features a healthy list of guest musicians to keep you safe on this whimsical, painless trip to the moon and back. Anxiety / Drama by Copiers will be released on September 29, 2025. Preorder the two song twelve inch record now. Anxiety / Drama is a twenty-minute two-song 12” EP and is the second Copiers 12” record that Future Heart Works will be releasing in this year of 2025. One might be thinking: “Who the hell is this Copiers and why the hell did they release two records this year?!” That is a valid thought. With their most recent LP titled Third, Copiers kept it loose but clearly built some sonic song shacks on a solid sound slab. The only focused structure on the new EP are the words “Anxiety” and “Drama” as they are repeated over and over again in a short sampled loop of inflection. Meanwhile, the band thumps, clacks, clangs, squeals, toots, and choogles along and along and along until around the 10 minute mark when they come to an upsetting stop. Copiers leave us yearning for another ten minutes, which Copiers delivers by flipping the record. This EP 12 inch is high concept music at its best. Imagine a pack of NEU! heads rolling around like pinballs in a Throbbing Gristly hedge maze with a voice from above Kraftwerking and commentating this freq gang’s trek to the other side.
