One week ago from today, my band (@youcometoariver ), released its first album titled “When is it Time to Leave?”. It’s a weird feeling to put out music you’ve been working on for a long time, and I feel like every song I’ve lived through 100x / has its own tale but I surrender is probably the one I’ll always feel the most spiritually connected to. I feel as if the song mirrors where I find myself constantly, this push and pull of wanting to let go, knowing you need to let go, but feeling stubborn and defiant in doing so. That is why I find the end to be super satisfying, to me it is the sound of letting go, release, rebirth, surrendering.. ❤️ Who says to fall is to finish last?
