With the new year approaching, I’ve been reflecting on this past year and the work that’s shaped it. I’m making a point to share more of the projects and stories I’ve been part of, even though self-promotion has never been my strong suit. The collaboration, care, and creativity that go into what we make feels worth celebrating out loud.
I’ve spent most of my adult life chasing stories, on the page and through a lens, and I feel incredibly lucky to have carved out a life where I get to do just that.

This project was close to home in many ways. As a granddaughter and daughter to a family with the genetic eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa, I was deeply moved by Danelle Umstead’s story. Witnessing how this diagnosis altered the lives of my Father, Grandmother and Aunt, and living with the ever present possibility of it touching my own life. This disease has played a fundamental role in how I move through the world. Danelle represents more than just an incredibly resilient athlete in the sports world but a clear example of the strength and courage that exists in humanity. Through her foundation, Sisters in Sports, Danelle has created a community for strong and capable women of all backgrounds with varying disabilities to come together and celebrate life together.
This was a special story to share with an all female crew. A project that reminded me how powerful storytelling can be- not just because of the finished product, but the energy that can be created when passionate humans come together to honor the good work of others.
Thanks to the incredible team of ladies that made this happen!

Stills from a wonderful project sharing the stories behind Global Glimpse.
Ecuador and Costa Rica with a wonderful crew and a campaign worth getting behind.
Excited to share some stills from an upcoming film, "Rebel in the Woods" documenting the life of social activist, Mary Moore.
This has been a true labor of love. Documenting over the course of the past few years the tender and honest moments shared between Mary and her granddaughter, my dearest friend, Raina.
Mary has dedicated her life to protecting the rights of others and sacrificed much for her beliefs. At 86, she lives in a treehouse filled to the brim with over 800 binders of collected research, news clippings and historical artifacts on every current event she has lived through.
I feel honored and grateful to share a glimpse into Mary's story.

Truly a woman of many talents, Heidi Herrmann's work brings about a deeper consideration and respect for our coastline. She teaches and practices the principals of regenerative harvesting for nutrient-dense seaweed. To spend a morning knee deep in the sea with Heidi is to gain insight into the story of our shores ecology and the many flavors it provides.
