jess & rex | hidden pond wedding in kennebunkport, me
this was the third wedding we’ve filmed almost entirely in anamorphic. for those unfamiliar, anamorphic lenses are a specific type of lens that compress the image horizontally. when desqueezed in post-production, you achieve a cinematic widescreen look with unique characteristics. beautiful lens flares, subtle distortion, and a natural softness that can’t be replicated digitally. movies that have been filmed in anamorphic: la la land, inception, and pulp fiction to name a few.
why shoot in anamorphic? as film enthusiasts, our love for the art is what inspired us to begin this journey. while we’re confident in our approach, we’re constantly seeking ways to challenge ourselves and push the boundaries of what’s possible. we believe that our couples deserve the best of our art.
shooting anamorphic isn’t easy. it’s stressful, heavy, and honestly, pretty inconvenient. yet, the reward is an image that stands apart. undeniably cinematic, aesthetically rich, and something most won’t risk stepping outside their comfort zones to achieve. for us, this evolution felt like a natural step forward in continuing to set ourselves apart.
we will never settle for mediocrity.

nicole and spencer’s intimate rehearsal dinner last night at @thehighlawn
the joy and love these two share is contagious, and the way they’ve welcomed us into this weekend makes us even more excited and inspired to document it all.
nicole and spencer, let’s get you two married!!
a few moments from our trip to the netherlands and belgium!
we often forget to document our own lives because a lot of the time, it’s just too exhausting when we have so many films to work on for our couples. the thought of filming more clips that have to be edited is overwhelming.
but i’m so happy we made the effort this time. even just a single clip takes me back to that specific day and everything we did. it’s like a journal.
