After nearly 21 years today is my last day at Pittsburgh Glass Center. It’s a family I’ll forever be grateful to have been a part of. I’m trying to focus on my own practice and it’s scary and exciting but also reassuring knowing the community I’ll still be a part of. Working alongside your friends and your heroes for 20+ years is a pretty charmed existence.🥹❤️
This is a great human doing real work within our craft. If you have the means to donate it is a cause I support wholeheartedly. Posted @withregram • @instantglassic Hey y’all. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about an organization I’m involved with and to personally thank you if you’ve already joined our growing community of craft lovers for equity and inclusion. It’s called @crafting_the_future . I am a maker, and like you, I’m extremely bothered by the lack of diversity in our field. I am moved, most days to tears, by everything that has transpired in our nation this week in response to the senseless murder of George Floyd #sayhisname. His death, and the deaths of all our brothers and sisters who came before him will not have been in vain. As we all look for ways in which we can address the social and racial inequality in our society, I thank you for supporting the efforts of CTF to enrich our cultural fabric and level the playing field in the arts. @annie_evelyn_furniture and I have been dreaming of this organization for years now, and it warms my heart to see it growing everyday. Please check out our page and visit our website to read a bit more about what we’re up to. #craftingthefuture #bettertogether #blacklivesmatter

Almost like having coffee with friends. Thanks @yellowlightdetroit and my ol’buddy @nikodimitrijevic for the delicious coffee ( the Sunrise Blend makes an excellent latte) and @beyvan for the wondrous mug.

We're serving up some #quarantinecocktails for Thirsty Thursday! Wind down with a rum and tonic served in a beautiful handmade glass. Start with 2oz of aged rum, like this award-winning Queen's Share from @maggiesfarmrum . Add a squeeze of lime, top it off with tonic, and stir. These new glasses will debut with Penn + Fairmount's fall line.

Thanks to our friends at Maggie's Farm Rum for the recipe! They're still taking orders online for curbside pickup, local delivery in the Pittsburgh area, and shipping to residents of PA; visit their website for details.
Repost @pennfairmount : “Jason Forck and his production team at @pghglasscenter are working on handmade Penn + Fairmount items in the hot shop today. And we mean HOT... it’s pushing 90 F degrees today, not even counting the 2,000 F furnaces! After cooling, these blown glass bubbles will be coldworked into finished inflate bowls.”
