I'm endlessly proud of my wonderful friends for what they've made, and the honor of being allowed to give my voice to Shirley makes me cry regularly. Fed Up!  By Joseph Philips Fed Up! is a new musical about two star crossed lovers fromrival delivery companies. When their paths collide, they mustmake the choice between company loyalty, and true love. Second Chances By Paul Cartwright This is the story of Gavin Costello and his journey back to”normalcy” after a series of events changes his entire life. Actors will rehearse for one week and showcase the piece as a live reading on Friday, April 18th at our Exploration of New Works Festival! The Great Emu War has been selected for a staged reading at the Harrington Center in April! The reading will take place at a venue in American Fork and we are looking for some talent! Auditions are due by March 8th! This is unpaid and we are hoping to have at least 3 rehearsals before the staged reading. After Us has been something I’ve been working on for a long time. The concept of the series itself was born in college as I had an idea that stemmed from my own inability to understand why relationships felt so impossible. There weee times when they I felt so close to something, and then I would lose it because, in the end, so many unresolved feelings festered and decayed the happiness I thought I was developing. After Us was an outlet for the confusion that ensued, and it helped me sort things out that I wasn’t ready to confront. Fascination with the othering that exists in zombie movies was always part of my taste in film, and as my sexuality became more clear, I saw them in a more tender light. I felt bad for them, and the stories I wrote in college became more about understanding them instead of fearing them. Having wrapped this version of a pilot for the show, I hope people seek understanding. There are enough miscommunications. We spend a lot of our lives looking at others from the other side of a pane of glass, acting like we are allowed to decide who they are and how much empathy they are allowed to receive from us. Queer stories are there to help us understand queer people. I hope you’ll give this little movie a chance before you turn your nose at it. Everyone deserves a chance to be understood and despite the absolute breakdown of my own faculties and numerous panic attacks from wearing way too many hats, I’m so happy this little show happened. I’m infinitely grateful to those who worked to make it good. ❤️
