This week I earned my masters degree alongside the Havard Graduate School of Education's class of 2022 🎓🌟✨️🎊📚 An accomplishment a school aged version of me could never have envisioned, yet here I am in the starting on these historic ground doing unprecedented acts. I could never have accomplished a fraction of the things I've done in my life if not for the shoulders I stand on. This is for all the incredible educators who've uplifted me, for all the mentors, coaches, and adults who saw something more in me, for my friends and family who given me unwavering support even when the road ahead was a mystery, for @michellemushlee for literally was the only person in my life who told me I could go to Harvard and started a fire in me, for the lineage of ancestors before me who were gatekept from academia and knowledge, this is for my mom and dad who worked hard blue collar jobs so their children could have a brighter future, this is for every student I've ever had or am going to have the honor of working with, this is for the future, for tomorrow's light, for changing the word 🌎 #Harvard #HGSE #Classof2022 @harvardeducation

I wrote you too many poems in a language I did not yet know how to speak But I know now it doesn’t matter how well I say grace if I am sitting at a table where I am offering no bread to eat -Andrea Gibson ☕️🎂🍰🍓🫚🍖🥗🍤🥮 This year for my birthday I brought two of my favorite joys together, cooking and poetry, for a dinner party I throw for all of my loved ones! Followed by a classic poetry cypher in the living room. A full night of Latin dishes made by a small army of chefs. I am so grateful for all the people in my life who let me feed and care them. Nothing bring me more joy. This was such a beautiful night of bliss and felicity. I only wish I took more photos.
