A look behind the scenes of the Opening Show for the Abu Dhabi Presidentโs Cup 5* Show Jumping.
What the audience sees for a few minutes on stage is built over days of precision, collaboration, and relentless focus - especially on a production of this scale, delivered in just two weeks.
From integrating aerialists safely within a live equestrian arena, to aligning performers, horses, projection, lighting and lasers down to the smallest cue - every detail mattered.

We were proud to co-produce the opening show for the Abu Dhabi Presidentโs Cup 5* Show Jumping event at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club this January.
Working in partnership with @virtus_ae , we created a cirque-inspired spectacle designed specifically for an international elite sporting audience โ a first of its kind at ADEC.
For the first time, silk aerialists performed in integration with horse riders inside the arena, alongside trick and stunt riders, Russian Bar acrobats, gymnasts, poi performers, dancers, floor projection, lighting design, and laser choreography. The show was built around the five pillars of show jumping, forming a dynamic visual narrative that reflected the precision, strength, elegance, partnership, and athleticism at the heart of the sport.
What makes this production particularly special is that it was delivered within two weeks of sign-off โ over the Christmas period โ while simultaneously preparing a completely different large-scale show for the following day. Sharing some core team members across both productions while maintaining creative integrity and delivery standards is something we take great pride in. A major achievement for the Energie team and a testament to what can be accomplished through experience, collaboration, and trust.
